How Your Donations Make a Difference

Direct Support for Families

The majority of our annual donation goes directly to inpatient cardiac families at the Heart Institute of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, helping ease the financial burden of extended hospital stays.

Hospital stays can last months or longer . Food, travel, accomodations, and daily necessities add up quickly. Your support provides meaningful relief during unimaginable times.

Programs That Bring Comfort & Joy

🎄 Christmas for Heart Warriors

Each year, we provide Christmas gifts so heart patients wake up with presents on Christmas morning — even while in the hospital.

🛒 Family Pantry & Snack Carts

In partnership with Children’s Hospital Social Work, we support inpatient cardiac families with snacks and refreshments. These small comforts help ease daily stress and provide support when families need it most.

🏥 Investing in the Future of Lifesaving Care

We are also proud to share that a portion of this year’s donation will support the construction of the new, world-class Heart Institute set to open next year.

This state-of-the-art facility will shape the future of pediatric cardiac care for generations to come. Knowing we can play even a small role in helping build an environment where lifesaving innovation and compassionate care come together means everything to our foundation — and to the families who will depend on it in the future.

💕 Meals from the Heart

On February 12, 2026 we hosted our first annual Meals from the Heart for inpatient cardiac families and the dedicated Heart Institute staff who care for them daily. It was so rewarding to give these amazing families a break from their long stays for some good food and to speak with them about their journeys and ours.
