Our Vision
Our vision is a world where no child or family has to suffer the devastating effects of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Pediatric Chronic Heart Disease.
We strive to be a leading non-profit organization in the region, dedicated to supporting the Heart Institute at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and their pediatric patients.
Through our efforts, we aim to provide hope, support, and resources to families dealing with the challenges of this disease, and to ultimately improve the lives of all those affected by Pediatric Chronic Heart Disease.
At Caleb’s Crusaders Heart Foundation, we are inspired by the resilience and strength of heart warriors like Caleb Fritz, who lives with the challenges of Pediatric Chronic Heart Disease.
Caleb’s story is one of courage and determination. As a three-year pediatric chronic heart disease patient with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), he faces daily challenges that most of us cannot imagine. His first seven months of life were spent at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh where he underwent three open heart surgeries and countless other procedures.
Just like all heart disease patients, Caleb’s Heart journey is ongoing. He is followed by his medical team at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as he awaits a donor heart.
His unwavering spirit and the support of his loved ones have inspired us to create a foundation that aims to improve the lives of children and their families enduring similar journeys.
